|Procurement Standards Development of the EA-CCS|
In-terms of BBBEE Requirements, every company seeking to earn BBBEE Points for Procurement, should establish a Procurement Standard for itself, based on its interpretation of the BBBEE Code and apply that standard to Suppliers.
The Employer Association for the Contact Centre Sector has set itself the objective of beginning this discussion with our Members. What we want to do is meet online to discuss the basic "Generic Procurement Standard" which will apply generically to ALL Suppliers within the Contact Centre Sector, and then pilot one specific "Charter" Application, specifically in-relation to the MAC Charter Scorecard (Media, Advertising, Communication and Digital).
This Procurement Standard would be evidenced as criteria in all "Requests for Quotes", Published "Tenders" and other forms of securing Supplier Services and Products.
This is intended to be a two-part interaction with our Member Companies. The first being the establishment of and agreement on the Standards (Generic and MAC specific). The second interaction will be with representatives from the Procurement Divisions of our Member Companies designed to train them in the application, measurement, assessment and reporting methods required to properly apply these Procurement Standards.
